tel aviv - The Israeli National Security Council (NSC) has defended the absence of a travel warning for Amsterdam, stating that it had not received any information from other government agencies that could warrant such a warning.
The statement comes following recent attacks on Israeli football fans in the Netherlands. The violence sparked outrage in Israel, raising concerns about a potential lack of coordination within the Israeli government. Earlier reports suggested that the Mossad intelligence agency had requested increased security measures from Dutch authorities without informing the NSC.
Prior to the disturbances in Amsterdam, the NSC had not received any information or recommendations from various agencies to issue travel warnings, the news site quoted from a statement.
