tel aviv - Israeli doctors are expressing worries about the health of hostages who are expected to be released soon, fearing that their bodies will be severely damaged due to prolonged captivity.

Hospitals and other institutions in Israel are currently preparing to receive the hostages. Dr. Amir Blumenfeld, closely involved in the preparations, expressed his concerns regarding the physical condition in which the hostages will be received.

Blumenfeld believes this deal is the last chance for the hostages. He stated, "Most of them, due to their poor condition, will not survive another winter in captivity."

Experts observed significant weight loss among the previous group of hostages, who were receiving only 300 calories a day over a period of fifty days. The current hostages have been in captivity for over 450 days.

There are mixed emotions among the Israeli public regarding the potential release of the hostages, with feelings of relief, hope, fear, and anger prevailing. The deal also involves the release of hundreds of terrorists, raising concerns about national security.

Despite the risks associated with the agreement, many Israelis consider this as possibly the final opportunity to see the hostages return alive. The military and moral obligations towards the hostages are driving the decision-making process.

However, experts warn that a temporary ceasefire turning permanent could allow Hamas to retain control, delaying necessary reconstruction efforts for Gaza and prolonging the suffering of its people.

Ultimately, the unresolved conflict with Hamas and the situation in Gaza present long-term challenges that require sustained efforts and strategic planning.
