Israel Deploys New Robot Bulldozer in Gaza Conflict

Israel has unveiled a remote-controlled robot bulldozer, named Robdozer, in the Gaza conflict. The bulldozer, a reinforced version of the Caterpillar’s D9, is self-driving and developed by Israel Aerospace Industries, eliminating the need for personnel in hazardous zones.

Controversy Over Unmanned Vehicles

Critics argue that unmanned vehicles like Robdozer may lead to increased casualties due to potential inaccuracies and lack of supervision. However, the manufacturer claims the opposite, emphasizing the ability to enter hostile territories without risking Israeli lives.

Andrew Fox, a retired major from the British military and researcher at the Henry Jackson Society, notes that Israel is likely the first to deploy remote-controlled combat machines in an active war zone.
