rome - First Islamic party participation in Italian elections results in 3% vote share flop. Right-wing anti-immigration party emerges victorious in Monfalcone.

First Islamic Party's Flop in Italian Local Elections

The debut of an Islamic political party in Italian elections turned out to be a failure.

In Monfalcone, with over 30% immigrants, the Islamic party received only 2.9% of the votes.

The national leader, Aboubakar Soumahoro, known for representing exploited immigrants, faced controversies involving financial misconduct by his family.

The right-wing anti-immigration party Lega, led by Luca Fasan, won with 71% of the votes, supported by former mayor Cisint, known for opposing Islamization in Monfalcone.

After the results, Cisint emphasized the importance of resisting societal Islamization for a secure future.
