Around forty heads of state and government officials, alongside upcoming American President Donald Trump, will attend the reopening ceremony of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, following the fire that destroyed it in 2019.
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski has also been invited, with a diplomatic source stating that he is looking forward to attending.
Several European leaders have confirmed their presence, including the presidents of Germany, Italy, Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, and Lithuania. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will also be in attendance. The Belgian royal couple and Prince Albert of Monaco are among the crowned heads expected to attend.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pachinian and Georgian President Salomé Zourabichvili will be present, as well as the Serbian Prime Minister, Kosovar President, and the Dutch Prime Minister. Additionally, various African leaders are expected, including the presidents of Congo-Brazzaville, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, and Togo.
American President Joe Biden will be represented by his spouse, Jill, while Prince William will represent the United Kingdom at the event, with his wife Catherine remaining at home at the request of the British government.
