German Far-Right Extremists Arrested for Plotting to Separate Saxony with Violence
leipzig - Eight individuals in eastern Germany were arrested for planning to violently separate the state of Saxony from the rest of the country, with ties to a far-right extremist terrorist group.
Eight individuals were arrested in eastern Germany for allegedly plotting to forcibly separate the state of Saxony from the rest of the country. The suspects, believed to be members of a far-right extremist terrorist group, were mostly apprehended in Dresden and Leipzig, with one arrest in Zgorzelec near the Polish border. It is reported that the individuals established the association 'Saxon Separatists' four years ago, with an estimated 15 to 20 members.
Authorities claim that the suspects adhere to a racist and antisemitic ideology, rejecting the democratic principles of the Federal Republic of Germany. The militants reportedly engaged in paramilitary training camps in preparation for the envisioned 'day X,' anticipating the collapse of the German state and the establishment of a new national socialist regime in Saxony. The Leipziger Volkszeitung mentioned the possibility of ethnic cleansing to remove undesirable groups if such a scenario were to occur.
