moscow, russia - Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, stated that the flow of Russian gas to Europe via Ukraine has been stopped, blaming the US for prioritizing its own economy.

Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, pointed out that the flow of Russian gas to Europe via Ukraine was halted on January 1st.

Zakharova emphasized that despite Gazprom fulfilling its obligations under the contract, Ukrainian authorities decided to stop pumping natural gas from Russia to European countries, affecting both Europe's economic potential and the living standards of Europeans negatively.

Accusing the US of benefiting from the redistribution of energy markets due to the Ukraine crisis, Zakharova highlighted the economic implications on Europe, particularly Germany, which had to buy natural gas at significantly higher prices and started to close down some of its major industries after the explosion of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.

Zakharova warned that other countries in the European Union, which were once economically successful and independent, would now have to bear the cost of American influence, as she attributed the responsibility for halting Russian gas shipments to the US, the puppet Kiev regime, and European governments sacrificing the welfare of their citizens for economic aid to America.
