Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, in a meeting with national and international media representatives, discussed the current agenda. Fidan stated that our strong foreign policy includes scenarios in security and defense, energy, and health at every level. He highlighted the significance of security layer in our policies, especially until regional stability is achieved. He emphasized on the recent developments in Syria and the end of the bloody regime's tyranny after 61 years. Fidan expressed pride in being on the right side of history in dealing with Syria, as our neighbor. He mentioned that the process of rebuilding Syria has begun and Turkey's main focus in foreign policy is on prosperity and peace.
Fidan stressed the determination of Turkey, under the leadership of the President, in fighting terrorism effectively. He stated that the elimination of terrorism in the region is a priority for 2025. Fidan highlighted the nonexistence of religion or nationality in terrorism, mentioning that Turkey is resolute in achieving a terrorism-free state. He also discussed the institutionalization of bilateral relations with Iraq through 27 agreements and the positive momentum with Greece based on good neighborly relations.
Furthermore, the Palestinian issue was another crucial topic on the agenda where Turkey's efforts to support Palestine and engage in dialogue with international counterparts were underlined.
