As part of the agreement between Hamas and Israel, the 5th round of hostage exchange is set to take place today. Hamas is preparing to reveal the names of 3 Israeli hostages and the US media claims Israel is preparing for a controversial plan related to Gaza.
Preparations in Gaza for the Exchange
Preparations for the exchange are underway in the central part of the Gaza Strip, specifically in the city of Deir al-Balah. The scene is set for the exchange to take place, with the military wing of Hamas, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, gathering in the designated area.
According to Hamas, 3 Israeli male hostages will be released today as part of the 5th round. The hostages are identified as Eli Sharabi, Or Levy, and Ohad Ben Ami, the latter being a dual citizen of Germany and Israel.
New Plan Revealed by ABD Media
The US-based Bloomberg News Agency reported a new plan concerning the transportation of Gazans from Israel's south via Asdod Port or a southern airport. The plan, presented to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, aims at allowing Gazans to voluntarily leave the region.
US Approves $7.4 Billion Arms Sale to Israel
The US has approved a $7.4 billion arms sale to Israel, including Hellfire missiles, bombs, guidance kits, and other equipment. This decision coincides with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's visit to Washington.
