des moines, iowa - Police in Des Moines, Iowa, are investigating the abandonment of a bulldog found in a taped-up garbage bag near a railway viaduct.

Authorities in Des Moines, the capital of the U.S. state of Iowa, are trying to identify the person responsible for abandoning a bulldog in a garbage bag near a railway viaduct. The dog was discovered with its head sticking out of a black garbage bag, unable to walk due to the bag being taped shut. The animal was severely emaciated.

The positive news is that the dog is still alive and slowly recovering, said police spokesman Paul Parizek on Saturday. 'When he was found, he weighed only ten kilograms. The person who found him said his attention was drawn to a bag that appeared to be moving.'

Investigators are hoping that someone will recognize the dog and assist them in locating the individual who abandoned the animal. 'His ears were cropped, indicating that he had received veterinary care in the past,' they stated.
