Elon Musk Calls for Release of Far-Right Activist Tommy Robinson
london - Billionaire Elon Musk has called for the release of Tommy Robinson, one of the most well-known far-right activists in the United Kingdom.
Anti-Islam activist Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is serving an eighteen-month prison sentence for contempt of court after a defamation case. Musk, the world's richest man, claimed that Robinson is in "solitary confinement" for telling the truth. He also criticized the current British Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the left-wing Labour Party in a series of posts.
Tech entrepreneur Musk is known as an ally of incoming US President Donald Trump, whose campaign he financially supported. He has also weighed in on European politics, expressing support for the German party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), which drew criticism from German politicians. Musk has met with British anti-immigration politician Nigel Farage and endorsed his party, Reform UK.
