naples, italy - Recent earthquakes near Naples raise concerns among residents. Emergency plans updated for the seismic risk zone.

Multiple Earthquakes Hit Campi Flegrei

Recent seismic activity in the volcanic region near Naples, Italy, has caused alarm among residents. Two earthquakes of 3.9 magnitude in the past 24 hours, followed by aftershocks, have led to worries in the area. Reports indicate that residents rushed out of their homes in fear during and after the tremors. The local authorities have opened a sports hall for those who prefer not to stay in their homes and distributed essential supplies, including thermal blankets. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or damage. As a precautionary measure, schools in the epicenter town of Pozzuoli have suspended classes. The government, under Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, had updated emergency evacuation plans for Campi Flegrei due to the high earthquake risk in the region.
