naples, italy - Dutch singer Zeriri was robbed in Naples, found weakened on the street, and assisted by local authorities.
Dutch Singer Assisted After Robbery in Naples
Dutch singer Zeriri, aged 39, was robbed in Naples and later found weakened on the street. The mayor of Mercogliano, Vittorio D’Alessio, stated that Zeriri has been brought to safety and is receiving assistance. Local social services provided her with a warm meal and psychological support. The Dutch embassy in Rome was also contacted for further assistance.
Zeriri was then taken to a community center where she was able to shower, received new clothes, and had time for personal hygiene and care. Despite expressing a desire to go to Sicily where she claimed to know people, Mayor D’Alessio insisted on providing her with support at the shelter before allowing her to leave for Sicily, as she is currently in a weak state. Born in January 1986 in Enschede, Zeriri has a Dutch mother and Algerian father who left the family early on. She gained popularity in Germany after participating in the TV show 'Deutschland sucht den Superstar' (DSDS) where she finished fifth. The death of her mother a few years ago reportedly had a significant impact on Zeriri, leading her to move to Southern Italy. Following the robbery in Naples where she lost her belongings and mobile phone, she started wandering and eventually ended up in Mercogliano.
