washington - Donald Trump has announced a new appointment, naming his campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung as the White House communications director if he is re-elected as president.
42-year-old Cheung, originally from Sacramento, California, was involved in Trump's previous election campaigns in 2016 and 2020. The communications director will primarily focus on the communication team's strategy at the White House. He studied computer science and political science.
During Trump's previous presidency, several people have held the position of communications director. The most notable was Anthony Scaramucci, who was fired after ten days for making harsh comments about other government officials.
