The pilot was rescued from the plane after regaining consciousness. One passenger has been reported dead and another injured, as per a spokesperson for the rescue service. Lithuanian news site Delfi mentioned that the plane was carrying four people, two pilots, and two crew members. A government crisis team spokesperson stated that all residents in the complex survived the accident.
A significant number of emergency responders are on the scene, stated the representative to LRT. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
The aircraft involved is reported to be a Boeing 737. The flight was operated by Swift Airline on behalf of DHL, originating from Leipzig. Air traffic in Vilnius continued as normal after the crash.
