london - A British couple wins lawsuit against seller after discovering moth infestation in their 38 million euro London villa.
Couple Receives Full Refund and Compensation
A British court has ruled in favor of a couple, Iya Patarkatsishvili and Yevhen Hunyak, who purchased a 38 million euro villa in London, only to discover a severe moth infestation shortly after moving in. The luxurious property in Notting Hill with seven bedrooms, a pool, wellness facilities, and more, turned into a nightmare as their clothes and wine were damaged by the persistent pests.
After a lengthy legal battle, the court concluded that the seller, William Woodward-Fisher, had misled the buyers about the condition of the property and failed to disclose the infestation. As a result, the couple will receive a full refund of the purchase price, minus 6 million pounds for the time they spent living in the infested house. Additionally, Woodward-Fisher has been ordered to pay them a total of 7.7 million pounds in compensation.
