Provocateur Salwan Momika Assassinated

Salwan Momika, infamous for Quran burning provocations, was shot dead at his residence in Södertälje, Sweden. The incident took place while he was live streaming on Tiktok. Five individuals were taken into custody following the armed attack, as reported by Aftonbladet. Momika and his close friend Salwan Najem were on trial in Sweden since January 16 for committing hate crimes. The court's verdict was expected to be announced yesterday.

Investigation Launched

Momika and Najem had ignited a global outrage on June 28, 2023, by burning the Quran in front of Stockholm Mosque under police protection. Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson assured deep involvement of security services in the case, citing a potential risk of connection to foreign powers.
