london - Competition has arrived for Larry the Cat at 10 Downing Street in the form of Siberian kitten Prince. The kitten was welcomed after a 'summer of negotiations' as requested by the prime minister's daughters.
Prince was only allowed to come after a 'summer full of negotiations', according to the prime minister. His daughters had specifically asked for a new pet. Initially, there was a possibility of a German Shepherd moving in, but later a kitten was chosen. How Jojo and the now 17-year-old Larry, who 'works' as head of mouse control, will react to the arrival of the kitten is still unknown.
