opio, france - A family in England won a lawsuit against Club Med and received 4700 euros compensation for a disappointing stay.

Family's Unpleasant Experience at Club Med Opio

English family Damen Bennion (52), his wife Jane (49), and their two sons spent a week at Club Med Opio, paying 7800 euros for their stay. Their dining experience was deemed disappointing from the start, with complaints about the quality of meals served. Feeling unsatisfied, the family opted to dine outside the resort for the rest of the week. Damen, who happens to be a lawyer, pursued legal action against Club Med, highlighting subpar pastries, bread, and unmet service expectations.

The court acknowledged the family's dissatisfaction with the food quality, especially the croissants, which did not meet French standards. Additionally, the family raised concerns about a moldy room, for which they were awarded compensation. Club Med's attempt to refute the claims with undated photos of the resort was dismissed.

Furthermore, the judge ruled in favor of Bennion regarding the parking fee, stating that such amenities should be included in a high-end establishment. The verdict resulted in Club Med paying 4700 euros in damages to the disappointed guests.
