madrid - Chinese restaurant in Madrid closed for health violations after serving street pigeon disguised as roast duck. Police find unsanitary conditions and illegal items.

Chinese Restaurant Closed in Madrid

A Chinese restaurant in Madrid was forced to shut down following a police raid which uncovered shocking violations.

Health Violations Found:

  • 300 kg of spoiled food
  • Cockroaches in the kitchen
  • Unhygienic and rusty cooking utensils
  • Illegal items like protected sea cucumbers

The police also discovered that the dish named roast duck was actually made from pigeons. It is suspected that the restaurant picked up pigeons from the street, kicked them to death, and then served them as roast duck.

Residents had previously reported the restaurant to the police due to foul odors and improper food handling. Despite the closure, the restaurant misleadingly posted a sign claiming closure for a holiday, with the word 'dirty' written next to it.

Multiple customer complaints of feeling unwell after dining led to the investigation of the owner for violations against public health, nature, and consumer rights.
