são paulo - Brazilian President Lula da Silva has been discharged from the hospital in São Paulo where he was admitted following a brain hemorrhage.
Doctors believe the brain hemorrhage was caused by a fall the president had in mid-October. Since then, he has been facing health issues. However, he was able to attend the G20 summit last month in his own country.
Initially taken to a hospital in the capital Brasilia on Monday, Lula was later flown to the renowned hospital in São Paulo. The Syrian-Lebanese Hospital in downtown São Paulo was founded in 1965 by the large Lebanese and Syrian communities of the city. It is considered one of the best hospitals in Brazil.
