Boris Johnson Dismissed Live on Television
london - Former prime minister Boris Johnson was dismissed while commenting on the US presidential elections on British broadcaster Channel 4, as he mainly used the opportunity to promote his book.
Johnson was allowed to appear due to his close relationship with Trump. During the American president's first term, he had significant interaction with him, first as the UK's Foreign Secretary and later as prime minister. The blonde politician saw the TV appearance as a good chance to advertise his recently published memoir, 'Unleashed'.
However, presenters Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Emily Maitlis were not pleased. 'Stop it!' Johnson was told. 'Stop, that's enough.' But he refused to comply. 'There is absolutely nothing you can do to stop me. I can just plug my book,' he insisted.
True to his word, Johnson kept referring to his book in his answers, holding it up for viewers to see. Despite further warnings from the presenters, Johnson remained steadfast.
After a commercial break, the former prime minister was nowhere to be found. 'Boris Johnson has been dismissed because he kept droning on about his book,' explained presenter Guru-Murthy.
