washington - US President Joe Biden has agreed to provide antipersonnel mines to Ukraine after concerns over the risks involved, according to The Washington Post.

President Biden has finally agreed to supply antipersonnel mines to Ukraine, a decision previously delayed due to concerns over the risks posed to civilians. A source cited by The Washington Post mentioned that Ukraine has pledged not to use the mines in densely populated areas.

The change in Biden's decision is said to be driven by the Russian advances in the east, the newspaper reported.

Over the weekend, the Biden administration, with just two months remaining, authorized Ukraine to fire long-range ATACMS missiles into Russian territory.
