Belgian Speleologist Rescued from French Cave

In a daring rescue operation in Saint-Sauveur-Camprieu, France, a Belgian speleologist, aged 40, was saved after falling into a cave and sustaining severe injuries.

Rescue Operation Details

The incident occurred when the victim fell into a chasm while crossing a stream in the cave, leading to significant injuries.

Due to high water levels, the unconscious woman could not be immediately evacuated, prompting a large-scale rescue effort involving dozens of firefighters and a specialized rescue team.

After being secured on a stretcher, the injured speleologist was lifted out of the cave using a pulley system and transferred to a hospital in Montpellier for treatment.
