Belgian actor and presenter Tom Waes was involved in a serious accident in Antwerp last night, as confirmed by his manager to VRT. Waes was reportedly seriously injured and taken to the hospital, but he is now out of danger.

The accident occurred around 01:00 am towards Ghent on the Antwerp ring road. Waes crashed his vintage Porsche into a roadblock on the highway, set up in preparation for planned construction in the Kennedy Tunnel. There were no other vehicles involved.

Waes, known in the Netherlands for Netflix series like Undercover and Reizen Waes, is said to be in critical condition according to Nieuwsblad. Emergency services had to cut open the Porsche to free the victim.
