Azerbaijan Airlines Cancels Some Flights to Russia After Plane Crash
baku - Azerbaijan Airlines cancels flights to seven Russian cities following the crash of one of its planes in Kazakhstan. The incident has raised suspicions of accidental downing by Russian air defense forces.
Azerbaijan Airlines has decided to cancel flights to seven Russian cities after one of its planes crashed in Kazakhstan. The crash, which claimed the lives of 38 out of 67 passengers on board, occurred during a flight from Baku, Azerbaijan, to Chechnya in Russia. Speculations arose suggesting that the plane might have been accidentally shot down by Russian air defense.
This incident draws parallels to the MH17 tragedy in 2014, where a Malaysia Airlines flight was shot down over Eastern Ukraine, resulting in the loss of 298 lives, including nearly two hundred Dutch nationals. Several individuals, including a pro-Russian rebel and two former members of the Russian secret service, were convicted in absentia in the Netherlands for their roles in the incident.
