An American man from the state of New Mexico has been awarded a compensation of over four hundred million dollars after a clinic wrongly diagnosed him. The settlement, totaling about $412 million, was granted by a jury, highlighting a costly error by the NuMale Medical Center in Albuquerque. According to reports, this marks a national record for a case of this nature.
The man's attorneys welcomed the decision with satisfaction, expressing hopes that it will protect other men from similar 'dangerous penis injections'. Lori Bencoe stated, 'This is a breach of trust, and if someone wears a white coat, they should not do this'.
The man resorted to legal action in 2020 after receiving treatment in 2017 when he was 66 years old. He visited the clinic due to fatigue and weight loss. An attorney representing him accused the treatment center, which operates in multiple states, of deceptive practices to profit by 'scamming old men'. Patients were allegedly misled into believing they needed three injections per week to prevent worsening symptoms.
NuMale Medical expressed its respect for the court’s decision in a statement but refrained from commenting further due to ongoing legal processes.
