el salvador - A 6.3 magnitude earthquake has struck in the Central American country of El Salvador, according to reports. The President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, stated that there have been no reports of casualties or damage.
A 6.3 magnitude earthquake has hit El Salvador in the Pacific Ocean, 50 kilometers from the city of La Libertad, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The earthquake, with a depth of 49.5 kilometers, was felt in neighboring countries Guatemala and Nicaragua as well.
President Nayib Bukele reassured the public by stating on social media that no casualties or damages have been reported following the strong earthquake this morning.
