goyang, south korea - In Goyang city in South Korea, 43 vehicles were involved in a chain collision due to icy roads. Authorities reported that 9 people were injured in the accident.
In the city of Goyang, located north of South Korea's capital Seoul, a chain traffic accident involving 43 vehicles occurred at an intersection. South Korean officials announced that 9 people injured in the accident are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
While the area has been cordoned off for security measures, the police stated that the chain collision occurred as a result of the road becoming icy, leading to other accidents as well.
Following the accident that caused a 3-kilometer traffic jam on the highway, the road was closed to traffic.
