conwy - A man wanted in the US for terrorist bomb attacks has been arrested after more than twenty years in a remote area in North Wales.

The American FBI issued an arrest warrant in October 2003, alleging that San Diego carried out two bomb attacks in August of that year in San Francisco on a biotechnology company. He was also said to have carried out a bomb attack in September 2003 on a food manufacturer's premises. San Diego was believed to have ties to extremist animal rights activists at the time. He became one of the FBI's most wanted terrorists, with a reward of $250,000 for information leading to his capture. However, he had not been heard from in decades.

According to British media, San Diego was arrested on Monday and appeared before a judge in London on Tuesday for extradition to the US. It is unclear how authorities in the US and the UK finally tracked him down.
