Opera Berlin open again on Thursday

The German Opera in Berlin can reopen on Thursday after it was hit by heavy water damage on Christmas Eve.

All problems are expected to be resolved by the end of Wednesday. The water has been pumped out and the hall has been ventilated for the last few days.

Due to the failure of the Deutsche Oper Berlin fire extinguishing system, the room was left blank and light and sound installations were severely damaged. The performances of the opera Die Zauberflöte on both Christmas and Wednesday had to be canceled. The performances from Thursday will continue as programmed. The opera house has 1860 people.
